Nourishing you towards optimal health

Your body’s ability to heal is greater than anyone has permitted you to believe.

Why Work With A Nutritionist?!

It was Hippocrates who said “ let food be thy medicine, and medicine be thy food”  Food is just that - Medicine. Consuming artificial, processed, sugary food like substances can lead to chronic illness, inflammation and metabolic dis-ease. Consuming real, organic, whole foods that  grow in soil, sunshine and nature, and foods that are farmed without harsh chemicals, hormones and antibiotics, can lead to a life of vitality, good health, dis-ease prevention and nourishment.

As a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, I am here to guide you, and educate you on how to identify what those real, organic, whole foods are, and how they can be utilized to recoup or maintain optimal health.

Why seek out the service of a Registered Holistic Nutritionist?!  An R.H.N. uses a whole system approach when dealing with dis-ease and malfunction in the body. We focus on lifestyle practices, habits, stress management, environment, and of course, nutrition.  An R.H.N. address the root cause of dis-ease, rather than just addressing the symptom.  Your family doctor may prescribe a medication for heartburn, which is a symptom, where a Holistic Nutritionist, takes the time to research and compile data, based on your own unique individuality.  We weave through the interconnectedness of all the systems of the body to see how malfunction in one area can cause dis-ease in another, and we address the root cause of why the symptom has occurred in the first place.  Family Doctors are great for many reasons and necessary.  Nutrition education, however, is not their strong point.  Many North American MD’s have an average of 12 hours worth of nutritional education.  And with today’s demands on our healthcare industry, your MD does not have time to explain or research the “ why “ a symptom has occurred.  That is where a R.H.N. comes in handy.  With over 500 hours of nutritional education, case studies, continuing education and successful completion of a comprehensive board exam, a R.H.N. is well versed on how to utilize nutrition, as well as good lifestyle practices and stress management strategies to explain and address the “ why “

Holistic Nutrition can help with reducing inflammation, digestive issues, Crohn's, IBS, SIBO, acid reflux, heartburn, metabolic breakdown, autoimmune disorders, high cholesterol, weight management, hormone balance, anxiety and depression, skin issues & food sensitivities, allergies, asthma, glucose management and so much more.
